This is the Melomanes (word in French - melomane - meaning music lover)!! Our mission is to unite people through their common passion for the mesmerizing craft of music. There is no need for you to be musically gifted, this club is especially for those who love doing research in music and discovering new music but not necessarily producing it.
We are aiming to collaborate with you to introduce others to cool genres and subgenres, artists, etc. According to our plan, we will focus on a different genre every month, alternating theory and practice weekly.
Week 1: Introduction to the genre and its history. Where and when did it appear? What influenced it over time? How has it changed and evolved? This is not just a presentation highlighting major contributors to the genre, but also an open discussion to get to know what you like and dislike.
Week 2: Fieldtrip Time!! We go to a gig, DJ Set, event, or invite a special guest to enjoy the genre in a live format.
Week 3: We come back together to look into more experimental stuff within the genre, whether it has over the years fused with something else or been modernized. Also, a chance for everyone to share after some research their hidden gems.
Week 4: A themed party based on the genre we have studied!! Guaranteed great music, decor, and vibe!
