Welcome to the Service Design Society (SDS), a community of like-minded individuals passionate about human-centered design! We strive to support the humans of UAL through a variety of industry-led talks, engaging workshops, and fun activities. Our goal is to empower each other to expand our networks and reach our goals while adopting an empathetic and ethical approach. But don't worry, we also love to have fun! We encourage storytelling, narratives, games, and lots of recycled materials to get our point across. And let's not forget about post-it notes – lots and lots of post-it notes!
As cross-disciplinary facilitators, we're constantly learning from our participants as much as they're learning from us. Our environment encourages sharing and skill exchange, making it the perfect place for students of all backgrounds and skill levels to collaborate and support each other. Our values revolve around collaboration, support, and networking, which means we're dedicated to creating a collaborative and creative culture around service design, supporting and learning from each other as students, alumni, and professionals, and creating a network that gives everyone the opportunity to build more connections.
