Student Funding

Arts Students' Union enables students to create their own university experience through the Student Initiative Fund. Using this small supply of money and our in-house expertise, we help students organise all kinds of original and creative events.

Student Initiative Fund

The Arts Students' Union staff team will help you to promote your project so that you get a larger audience involved. As part of the offer, you get permission to use the Students' Union logo, support with online event promotion, and free poster printing at the Arts Students' Union office.

You can apply for between £10 and £200 to support a project or event, providing you meet the following criteria:

1) You must be a current student at UAL

2) Your project builds on the community, encouraging collaboration across courses, years or colleges

3) Your project aims to improve learning and development opportunities for students across courses, years or colleges

This fund cannot cover external venue hire or be for any project that is part of your course work. Funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis per college, and run until the annual fund for that college is used up - so apply earlier rather than later!

To apply, please download and complete a proposal form.
