Hello everyone, my name is James Harlow, and I'm running for the position of School Rep for CSM Art & Performance. I believe that creativity thrives in a supportive and inclusive community, and I want to work towards creating that community for all of us. Here are my main priorities:

Mental Health and Well-being: Creativity can be a challenging and stressful process, and I want to ensure that we have the resources we need to take care of ourselves. I will work to increase the availability of mental health resources, such as mindfulness workshops, counselling, and peer support groups.

Access to Resources: I recognize that access to resources can be a significant barrier to creativity. I will work to secure better equipment for the school, negotiate discounts on materials, and establish partnerships with industry organizations to expand our resources.

Professional Development: As artists and performers, we need opportunities to develop our skills and connect with the industry. I will advocate for more workshops, guest speakers, and mentorship programs to help us succeed.

Inclusivity and Accessibility: It is essential that everyone feels included and represented. I will work to promote courses and workshops that focus on diversity and social justice, as well as make events and facilities accessible to all.

Social and Environmental Impact: As artists, we have the power to create positive change in the world. I will support and encourage work that has a positive impact on society and the planet.
