VOTE LEXA #1 FOR A DEDICATED, PASSIONATE, AND INVOLVED OFFICER!

Hi, I’m Lexa and I’m standing for the CCW College Officer role!

I have been working with the SU as a Course Rep for 3 years, and as well as a Wimbledon School Rep for one year. This time allowed me to develop ways of LISTENING TO THE STUDENTS and GATHERING FEEDBACK EFFICIENTLY, while also improving my understanding of the structures within UAL and ArtsSU.

I’m standing for the CCW College Officer role because I’m PASSIONATE about keeping ENGAGING CONVERSATIONS between the student body and tutors. As my studies at UAL are coming to an end, this position would allow me to keep on working with the SU in representing student voices, for both home and international students.

My priorities:

  • REVISING COST OF STUDY: as students have been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis, I aim to work with UAL on focusing on a STUDENT-ORIENTATED FUNDING that would allow students to realize their best work and feel supported
  • IMPROVING STUDIO ACCESS: with rent prices increasing, it’s now more important than ever to provide extended studio access to students that don’t have the means to do off-site work
  • SUPPORTING RECENT GRADUATES: as part of the support period UAL offers post-graduation, I would like to revise the access offered to studios and resources
  • CCW COMMUNITY: as students have been voicing their wish for more CROSS-CAMPUS PROJECTS, I want to encourage building a community within CCW through collaborative projects between the 3 sites
  • Working on more SHORT-TERM CHANGES that current students can benefit from, rather than  long-term changes only
