Hi everybody!

My name is Adrianna Bednarz, but I also go by Ada, Andrea and 23 others, so the likelihood of me reacting to any nickname shouted out loud is very high. I guess it makes it easier to APPROACH ME. And please do!

I’m a first year Public Relations Student, Course Rep and Student Ambassador. I’m running for the role of LCC Media School Rep. Before coming to UAL I had always been engaged within the school community - Student Council, Finance Admin, Admission Panels, Business Club, Volunteering of any kind…you name it. All this not only shows that I enjoy putting myself out there and getting an understanding of the organisational processes but I take pride in SPEAKING UP for students and their concerns. And that sometimes meant STANDING UP to unaware and ignorant representatives of our well being.

Coming to LCC, I was more than happy seeing our mentors being open-minded and willing to respond to our enquiries. However, we are meant to drive these changes ourselves. In order to do that, we need to choose STRONG REPRESENTATIVES like ME, who create an environment that enhances our overall university experience and allows us to become professional creators and social leaders.

My top 3 priorities for this candidacy are:

• #1 Encourage TRANSPARENCY in the decision making processes and make sure all of you are informed and feel secure that your voice is being heard, considered and understood. I will supply a platform for general and emergency enquiries so that the rep team can be on top of the drama at all times.

• #2 I am going to fight for more NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES between the colleges and industry professionals. To make it easier for us to collaborate, kick off some projects together and transfer our skills between the industries. 

• #3 Make sure our concerns regarding the teaching structure of the units are being addressed ASAP, not left out for future considerations. Following that, fight for more funding put into providing us with CAREER OPPORTUNITIES within our courses.
