Be Happy!

Hi everyone! My name is Katherine Crenwelge, and I am a MSc student studying Applied Psychology in Fashion. I am running for Student Communities Officer and would love your support! I am passionate about understanding people, so I can help them live happier healthier lives. I believe that in order to be the best versions of ourselves, we need to develop healthy habits, have a community we connect with, and acquire the knowledge that will equip us to achieve our goals and live fulfilling lives.

By being the Student Communities Officer, I will assist students in developing healthier habits and mindsets, as well as find ways to encourage community involvement and knowledge across courses, schools, and societies. To achieve this, my focus will be on health and wellness to improve mental and overall health. When we feel better in our bodies, we think better and can achieve so much more! Second, I will focus on guiding students to connect with organizations that will help them meet their goals. UAL has so many incredible resources. I want to find additional ways to share that information because many students don’t know what is available! Getting involved in organizations and attending events is a great way to develop skills that will accompany your studies and gain friends across courses. Studies have shown that people find greater joy when doing things together.

I hope that by focusing on health, community, and knowledge, students will be better equipped with finding jobs after graduating, and enjoy their lives more!

As an international student, joining the Arts SU community has helped supplement my studies, meet friends, and develop skills I have always wanted!  Therefore, I will do my very best at making sure everyone can find a community that helps them grow into the person they want to be!

Thank you so much for reading :)
