Daniela Commey is standing to be your Union Affairs Officer 2023/24! 

There has been a lot of talk about the 'struggling artist', but many art students are already struggling to make ends meet before they begin their careers. This limits our potential to pursue and pioneer our future prospects. How can we be creative when we are not able to pay our bills? Having to cut back on food. Absent from college because of travel expenses. 

We face these challenges every day because of the rising cost of living. 

But we should not have to face them alone.

What's in it for you? 

As your Union Affairs Officer, I will continue to campaign for the financial needs of all UAL students.

Funding & Finance - Making sure the Arts SU & NUS continues to fight the Cost-of-Living Crisis. 

• Additional support for students to receive loans tied with inflation.  

• Increase the number of affordable rooms, cap student rent to prevent a student homelessness crisis.

• Food vouchers, cheap and assesible meals on campus. 

• Provide travel subsidies

Welfare - Wellbeing and Awarness for Homeless Students

• Increasing awareness of students who are homeless, providing them with more support and options. 

• Support students unable to secure a place in halls.

Why should you vote for me? 

I am the School Rep at CCW:Art and the Leading NUS Delegate! I am able to relate and relay information. Having received a lot of feedback from students across UAL, I am confident of my ability to lead priorities and represent students' views, ideas and experiences on university-wide matters.
