Hi, my name is Neto. I am a mature student finishing a BA in Journalism, here to ask for your vote that will help me apply the knowledge I gathered throughout the past three years to build a better place and environment for all of us. With your help, I can fill in many of the existing gaps. 

I have been working as Rep on my course for the past two years; as an LCC Ambassador, Peer Mentoring & Peer Assisted Learning team, and in the production of podcasts. 

If elected, my initial goals are:    

-       Filling in the gap among students and UAL 

Having participated in many meetings with course Leaders, Dean Forums and having listened to my and fellow students' concerns, I learnt and gave voice to several issues, helping achieve better outcomes.  

-       Filling in the gap about the missing information  

We are often bombarded with emails but end up missing much of what matters to us. Together with UAL and Arts SU, I want to implement a solution for where, when, how students can get the right information about what's on, opportunities, etc.  

-       Filling in the gap among mature and young students  

Creating a safe space and tools that will improve the University experience for us all, regardless of age, gender, race, background, etc. We can learn so much from each other.  

When not at university, I organise art exhibitions, events and help artists with networks and social media. Also worked many years in the fashion industry, now starting to write about this and other topics. Skills that will add great value to the team.
