‘Creating an accessible experience for all!’

My name is Kira (she/her) and I am currently in my third year studying BA Performance: Design and Practice. During my time at UAL, I have actively participated in student projects for my course and over the past year have been a student rep for 3rd year PDP.

As a soon to be graduate, I am deeply passionate about student experiences and ensuring all those attending UAL are able to make the most of their time at University whilst being supported in any way they might need. I am looking to bridge the gaps in accessibility across UAL and make all elements of your time studying here as accessible and enjoyable as possible. Through my time studying performance, I have been fortunate enough to build on my skills in communication and efficient problem solving which I believe would be beneficial in this role. If given the opportunity to be your CSM College Officer, my main goal would be to provide everyone with a person to share their ideas and needs with and ensure that they are heard.

My main goals as college officer for CSM would be:

  • Bridging gaps made by a variety of issues in order to ensure all students have equal opportunities to thrive during their time at UAL.

  • Provide a friendly and approachable ear for all students to raise any issues they might have and take those forward to enact a change.

  • Help students make the most out of their time at CSM/UAL and provide an enjoyable experience for all.

  • Tackle key issues impacting student welfare both physically & mentally and ensure that a solution is found.

I believe that together, we can be the change we want to see at UAL!

Thank you!
