Shape of Clay

Join us for ‘Shape of Clay’ - a student led exhibition featuring ceramic works by Camberwell students from BA to MA.

This exhibition will be on from 29th of April - 25th May at the Camberwell SU Gallery, Peckham Rd.
Private view: 29th April, 5pm - 8pm.

Bringing together a community of ceramicists, this exhibition consists of Camberwell students from different courses and years, BA to MA.

From themes of mysticism and magic to historical references, the climate crisis, to religion and rituals, decorative design and experimental glazing, this eclectic mix of imaginative objects demonstrate the variety of influences, styles and methodologies that inform students' practice in clay.  

The variety of clays used include terracotta, stoneware, earthenware, porcelain and Sculpey. In addition to finished pieces, unfinished works, in various stages such as bisque fired and works that had gone wrong such as cracking are exhibited also to highlight the unpredictive nature of ceramics.
