Event Information:

As part of our Art of Joy event programme for Black History Month, we are excited to be hosting The Joy of Hair, a Black haircare panel and discussion celebrating and educating on the beauty of afro and curly hair. From shrinkage to protective styling, breakage to big chops, we will be discussing all things natural  hair. Get educated on how to identify the needs of your hair and the science behind some of your favourite products, including demonstrations on how to use them. We aim to create a safe space that will foster open conversations about identity in relation to our hair and start to reclaim the joy and uniqueness that comes with having afro or curly hair.

For the panel discussion, we have partnered with four expert individuals that represent brands making a positive impact in the Black hair industry including Tendai Moyo (Ruka) Sarah Sango (Lush), Zita Ebunam (Dyson), Antionette Ale (Haircrush) and Johanna Yaovi (The Curl Talk Project). Come ready with your questions, notebook and pen as these inspiring and knowledgeable panellists will answering all your haircare queries.
