Creative Writing for Wellbeing
Whether you are a published novelist or have never thought of yourself as ‘a writer’ before, join us for this weekly creative writing class with Caroline. Week by week, you will build a toolbox of writing exercises and practices to help you develop your creative practice. Meet like-minded people and become part of a supportive community of fellow creatives!

Why creative writing for wellbeing?
Creative writing can be therapeutic, informative, fun, challenging and rewarding. It is not a practice reserved for those who deem themselves ‘writers’, but instead should be part of a diverse and balanced wellbeing routine. It helps to develop and build upon many important attributes in both our personal and professional lives, some of which include: empathy and communication skills, innovative and creative thinking, and increased perception. It can also be a great tool in easing stress and working towards better mental health. Caroline is also an experienced yoga teacher, and she will implement her knowledge of breath work and wellbeing practices to deliver a workshop that is integrated, accessible and supportive.

What can I expect from this class?
Caroline will guide you through a series of tools, exercises and engaging games that help overcome the initial overwhelm of a blank page and nurture creativity in the many forms it takes. The classes leave you brimming with new ideas and a toolkit of exercises to help you cultivate or continue a mindful creative writing practice. Attending weekly sessions enables more time to develop and build upon your writing, explore new ideas and experiment with editing and sharing your work. These workshops have been created for groups of all abilities and ages. Caroline has worked with students, authors, actors, journalists, scientists and professionals.
