Overview

Arts Students' Union is an independant democratic organisation led by our 18,500 student members. We exist to represent your interests, and ensure that students have a powerful voice at UAL.

Each year, you elect four Sabbatical Officers who represent your interests at senior level within UAL, lead Arts SU operationally as trustees and determine the direction of the organisation in its strategic delivery. These roles are full-time for one academic year and paid £25,884. They can be take as a sabbatical year between your years of study, or as your first role after graduating.

You don't need any previous experience, just a passion to build a better brighter UAL and to lead on the direction and priorities of your Students' Union and University. This is your chance to make change. This is your UAL.
