About Us

With Theresa May, Brexit, Trump, struggling public services, a refugee crisis, food bank use on the rise, and cuts to the education system and the arts, never has there been such a pressing time to be part of Arts Labour.

We are a grassroots progressive movement promoting socialist ideas, championing the Labour movement, liberation struggles, international solidarity and campaigns. Whether that be in local elections or alongside activists creating a future built on democracy, equality, corporation and liberation.

Last year we ran events, stalls, socials, took part in marches, joined picket lines, and we were involved in the campaign that successfully helped stop the job cuts at Chelsea, Camberwell, and Wimbledon. These can be great places to involve yourself with fellow politically engaged students, especially in such a new environment.

Aside from all of this serious politics we usually also get food together or end up in a pub.

We welcome everyone interested in politics, whether you've been a Labour Party member since you were 14, you're just interested in meeting other like-minded people, or want to get involved in a vibrant, dynamic and diverse society.
