Do you have an interest in animals? In particular horses? Do you feel like you need a break from London? Then the equestrian society is the right place for you. We offer both recreational and competitive memberships. This sport is great for improving mental health and boosting confidence. Spending time with like-minded people will also benefit your university experience.  If you have any questions don't hesitate to email Bea or to drop us a message on Instagram or Facebook.

Due to Covid-19 we have had to plan all of term 1 online and have no physical session. We have partnered up with Trent Park Equestrian Centre to provide you with the best possible online classes. These classes include:

  1. Anatomy & how movement changes it - exploring the skeleton of the horse and drawing it
  2. Prep to ride - what you will require and how to keep fit when we can't ride physically
  3. The Olympic Disciplines: introduction to dressage, show jumping and cross country
  4. Horse behaviour - how to understand a horse's expression

And many more...

You will also be working towards achieving the British Horse Society Riding Fit Bronze Award.

We are planning to have to socially distance socials too! One pizza making evening on zoom, and a Netflix and horses night in.

Hopefully in term 2 we will be allowed back to riding normally and having non socially distanced socials!

Advanced and BUCS usually ride on Tuesday evening from 7.15pm to 8.15pm at Trent Park Equestrian Centre (this might change due to covid-19). Flat lessons are £40 and jumping lessons are £50.

Beginners and intermediate usually ride on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 3pm at London Equestrian Centre (again this is subject to change). Lessons are £25

By term three we are hoping to be allowed to go on a riding trip for 3-4 days. Updates will follow.
