SABBATICAL OFFICERS
SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM
POLICY AND ADVICE
Our Advice Team advise students on a range of issues which might affect them whilst studying at UAL. We advise on all academic process and provide housing advice, we’ can refer students to another service if we can’t help. The Advice Service is independent, confidential and free.
Our Policy Team help our elected officers achieve the aims they set out in their manifestos. We do this by preparing research reports and position papers on issues which impact on students. We use this to make evidence-based arguments to UAL, lobbying for change on behalf of our members.
COMMUNITY
The Community Team is the largest team at Arts SU, managed by two Community Managers. The team comprises of Events and Exhibitions Coordinators that work with students across all UAL colleges, Academic Representation Coordinators overseeing Academic Representation (Course Reps), Elections and supporting our Part-Time Officers, Campaigns Coordinators who coordinate campaigns and support Sabbatical Officers Projects as well as Commercial Outlet Managers, who manage our SU Cafés and Bar.
ARTS PROGRAMME
The Arts Programme team within the Students’ Union works to deliver a development programme for UAL students to enhance their knowledge and experience within their professional creative practice. We want to give students the tools for a sustainable career. We are here to provide opportunities to showcase students and their work, allow them to access new experiences, and help them develop professionally during their time studying at UAL.
ARTS ACTIVITIES
The Activities team supports and facilitates student-led activities and events through our Societies, Sports and Arts Active programme. We aim to provide opportunities for all UAL students to try different activities, meet new people and, above all to help to create the best student experience possible. We encourage all students and student groups to be diverse and inclusive and supportive of each other.
The Activities team is continually developing and improving our skills and training offer for student leaders. We want to ensure that our offer stays relevant and if students can’t find what they want in our current programmes, or if they have a great idea for a new activity, we can help them to create it.
