LGBTQ+ NUS Liberation Delegate (Attending Conference in April 2023):

NUS Delegates attend National Union of Students (NUS) conferences to represent UAL students. This is an excellent opportunity to take part in national discussions, network with other students, raise and take part in discussions, vote on behalf of students to decide national policy, and elect national representatives. Arts SU provides briefing sessions for delegates ahead of the conferences, so they are prepared.

The NUS Liberation Conference takes place in person across two days in April at a conference venue in a city location, so successful candidates must be available on the conference dates. Arts SU covers conference registration fees, accommodation, food and travel for all delegates. The successful candidate will attend the Liberation Conference alongside 5 other elected UAL students, representing different liberation groups.

This role was included in our By-Elections during October/November, but remained vacant. Therefore, we have re-opened this vacancy to ensure LGBTQ+ students at UAL are represented effectively on a national level.
