Your Communities

About Psychedelic Society

We are a collective community holding the importance of physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, creating adventure through movement and curiosity.

What do we do?

UAL’s Psychedelic society aims to create a space for like-minded people interested in psychedelia as a part of art and culture, alternative medicine, politics, and alternate states of consciousness.

We look at the significance psychedelics and plant medicine has to communities and individuals. We also explore non-substance-induced states of consciousness, such as meditation, deprivation tanks and sound baths. We create events to engage members with each other; host speakers, hold workshops, and explore nature. Together we can create a space for collaboration, where our members can co-create our society alongside each other.

We are looking forward to fungi foraging this autumn season!

We are a member of the Drug Science Student Network, an international network of university societies related to drug policy, science and research. We will collaborate with students nationally and internationally throughout the academic year, so become a member of our community today to join the movement!

Ethos

We aim to cultivate authentic connection within our community. We will hold events that broaden our members’ understanding of what is possible whilst retaining the importance of safe practices and wellbeing. In the Psychedelic Society, we incorporate a practice of play- to encourage social engagement, wellbeing, creativity, curiosity, and neuroplasticity- in the spirit of psychedelics.

Cultivating Consciousness, Curiosity, Connection

  1. Facilitating connection and community

  2. Holding the importance of Mind-Body-Spirit

  3. Creating a space of playful engagement, exploration, and expression

We are committed to holding the importance of decoloniality and intersectionality within the psychedelic movement. We strive to create an inclusive psychedelic community that respects indigenous knowledge and challenges systemic injustices.
