Black History Month Exhibition artwork call out

During Black History Month 2019, Arts SU will be celebrating artwork by UAL students and recent graduates from an African-Caribbean background with an exhibition at Copeland Gallery, Peckham.

The title for this years' exhibition is The State of Things.

There is no theme plus students and recent graduates in any discipline, at any level, can enter.

Showcasing the range of creativity at UAL, this exhibition offers students and recent graduate a chance to collaborate, develop and show their work to a wider audience. If you identify as a person of African-Caribbean descent and want to take part in this exhibition, please fill out the form below.

About you

  • Only students and recent graduates from an African-Caribbean background can apply.
  • You must be a current UAL student or recent UAL graduate to enter.

About your artwork

  • Artworks must be original and created by the artists.
  • Your work should be prepared for hanging by 10 am on 17 October 2019.
  • Any medium will be accepted unless the creative team states otherwise.

Key dates

  • Exhibition installation: 16th October – 17th October 2019*
  • Private view: 18th October 2019*
  • The exhibition opens to the public: 19th October 2019 – 29th October 2019*
