Hi, I’m Bea (she/her)! I’m about to complete my final year of BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and I am running to become your Activities Officer!
My journey at UAL started in 2015 with the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at CSM which then led me to start my BA in 2016, and you might be thinking "Bea what has taken you so long to graduate?" In between my second and third year of studies I decided to take two diplomas: one in professional studies and one in creative computing. During these 6 years at UAL I have had all sorts of opportunities to connect with students and gain insight of how to make the university a better place for students.
I have been the President of the Equestrian Society for the past two years and in this role, I have been advocating for the mental health benefits this sports has on people. This year I decided to take the challenge of being a course rep and I am currently a student Arts Programmer at the Student Union.
I care about:
- Listening: I will be working for YOU and will make sure that your voice is heard. This will involve having termly meetings with clubs and societies to hear what improvements needs to be made.
- Mental Health with Sport: I aim to create a fund that enables students who seek mental health aid to be able to participate in sport activities.
- Collaboration: societies and clubs are the main place where students from different colleges at UAL can collaborate. I aim to create more opportunities to get to know your peers from different courses and outside UAL.
- Sustainability - integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Student Union and wider university
