Hello!!! :)

I'm Hannah (she/her), a 3rd year Chelsea BA Fine Art student, and I'm super excited to be running for Activities Officer!!!

I'm really involved in UAL's student community: I've been a course rep and Student Ambassador, worked with the SU Activities team delivering the Arts Active programme, and participate in different clubs, extracurricular events, and action groups. As President of UAL Climbing for the last 2 years, I coordinate trips, facilitate events, and organise socials!

Maintaining a sense of community in colleges has been particularly difficult this year, so this is a big priority for me in the wake of Covid-19. Connecting with other students is vital for you to have fun whilst at uni!

As safe spaces to nurture communities with mutual interests, I want to make sure clubs and societies are supported, inclusive, and accessible. I want better ways for students to connect, more cross-course and cross-college activities and collaborations, more events and opportunities, and better social spaces in colleges!

I currently represent students at college-level, as Chelsea Officer. I'm eager to continue the initiatives of the current Activities Officer, Eleanor, whilst building upon the work I'm already doing.

As your elected Activities Officer, I will focus on:

• Strengthening communities: creating better social environments in colleges, offering more outreach to clubs and societies, and supporting underrepresented groups!

• Helping societies and sports clubs to be more affordable, and more accessible to marginalised students!!!

• Encouraging sustainability in creative practices, creating a (Covid-safe!) Materials Exchange initiative — combatting waste, and improving affordability for students!

• Promoting creative opportunities and events across UAL, and advocating for support for Covid graduating students!

Having an existing relationship with Arts SU, I understand what students want, and how everything works!
