UAL belongs to the students; let's embrace our future!

Hi everyone! My name is Amber Lunt and I study Sculpture at Camberwell! Through my experiences of facing graduating in the midst of a pandemic and being a student rep for this past academic year, I am truly dedicated and passionate about making your UAL experience as positive as possible!!!

As your activities officer, I will wholeheartedly aim to enrich your university experience, following an ethos of inclusivity, diversity and democracy. I believe extra-curricular activities can be arranged in a way that nurtures the employability of marginalised communities throughout UAL. This will take place by creating student-initiated platforms of communication, employment networking opportunities for disadvantaged students, organising live briefs with external professional bodies and workshops which promote students to embrace their rights. University is our key to thrive in a creative world and as your activities officer, I will invite students and alumni all to embrace their creative potential by re-situating our university courses into one that supports equal opportunities and a broad creative environment that enables students to adopt professional skills such as curatorship, journalism and events management.

I believe we can embrace the potential of the university, by broadening the curriculum to go above and beyond what our specific courses offer. I would like to use the diverse creative network at UAL to create exhibitions, events and magazines that allow us to own the art industry and recreate a representative artistic culture, subverting its exclusivity into a wholesome space that enlivens activism and represents us all.
