Professional, Empathetic and Tenacious- I will be your voice!
I am a 2nd year mature student who has 2 years experience within the Course Representative role and president for the Mature Students Society. In addition, this year I am LCC Design School Representative, a new role in which I collate feedback from many students to give to the Dean of the school. I adore speaking to students and staff, and I believe there is so much power when people work together towards positive change.
- I believe that student finance should raise in line with inflation - students are having to spend more and more on accommodation and food and as a result, the education that they are paying for suffers. This is not morally right! If you vote for me I will speak loud and clear about how students are suffering in the cost of living crisis.
- I also want to speak up about the importance of mental health services within the university. Lack of funding means ultimately, within stressful times, these services can not keep up with the demand. Sometimes, organisations outside of the university are suggested to approach, but lack of government funding means they are also full or no longer open, leaving students left to deal with it themselves. I want to highlight how vital it is for students to receive the best therapies through the university.
It would be my absolute pleasure to become your NUS Delegate to represent you in a professional, friendly manner.
Throughout my life I have always stood up for others and what I believe is 'right'. The negative experiences of my secondary school (we are talking early 2000's here!) has made me an adult that does not give up on making environments better for everyone.
Vote for me as your number 1, 2 and 3!
