- Courage to Act -

Hi,

My name is Rijul Narwal and I am studying MA Design for Social Innovation and Sustainable Futures at LCC. I am running for the position of National Conference Delegate because I want to bring the voice of the postgraduate community to the table.

What I plan to do if elected:

I have been an international student in my undergraduate at New York and now in my postgraduation in London as well, and hence, I can understand how daunting it can be to move to a new country. If elected I would aim to improve international students’ rights and increase the co-operation between the Student Union and the postgraduate students. Moreover, I hope to fight for free, accessible and liberated healthcare. Additionally, I want to bring more sports and physical activities for well-being through the Students Union. I will make certain the SU is in touch with the student body to ensure inclusivity, accessibility and space to bring different cultures together. I think these aims will have a positive impact on overall student well-being.

My experience and skills:

I have experience in previous leadership and have developed the following skills: communication, adaptability and the ability to take initiative. I believe these make me an ideal candidate.

I would be honoured to represent you in the coming year and help make a positive impact on your university experience. Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to get in contact with me to ask me any questions about my ideas by contacting me through Instagram @rijulnarwal.
