As a member of the NUS delegate team what I aim to accomplish is to share my values of family in an ethical and respectful way, in order to bring about a bigger sense of inclusivity and success amongst our student bodies throughout the United Kingdom. My goals are to welcome opportunity and create confidence to share it with home and international students equally, to feel better able and at home in the UK. I have a vision of a community that
is tightly bound by understanding and a culture based on common values where we feel safe to ask for help and sufficient enough to grant it.

New and challenging times require new forms of organization and seeing how students have adjusted to the lockdown, I know that there is potential to forge a positive change and make the students’ voice the most effective and equally heard. We have an opportunity in this pandemic to emerge stronger than ever before. Our sense of safety can increase along with our faith in a system that we built together confidently and I am ready to take control of my situation.
This is not only meant to be about survival, we have the ability now more than ever to thrive. As a generation, we have this great opportunity and responsibility to endeavour in building a more just, safer and successful environment for us to call home and share with a wider audience once we graduate from the academic body.
