Candidate for the position of Rupture Radio - President

Hello everyone, my name is Elena and I hope you would conisder as your president for the Rupture Radio Society. 

A bit about myself: 

I am a third year Media Comm student with lots of ideas for this society and can not wait to start it. During my studies I have been able to gain important skills including leadership, effective communication, organised planning and networking. My aim for this society is to give members a real experience about how the radio sector works, triving to make a professional environment while giving space for creativity and fun events. Members will be able to gain new skills while experimenting with radio equipment and different types of softwares. I also believe that, if elected, my role as president of the society my commitment to promoting diversity within the university.  

My aims if elected:

  • Increasing communication and awareness between different societies and clubs members and committees will ensure greater possibilities of organising better and bigger events. I belive that members from different societies working together will create a greater sense of community among students as well as increasing networking opportunities. 
  • Organise cultural events, live events with industry's insights and workshops to help members learn how to use radio equiments and softwares. 
  • Enhancing communicatio by creating an interactive social media presence, where members can interact with followers and effectively communicate news and events throughout social media platforms.
  • Encourage members to be as creative as possible. Thanks to Rupture Radio's website, members will be able to experience different aspect of Radio production, such as shows and playlists scheduling. Members will also be very welcome to experiment with their skills and interests to create their own shows, playlists or anything else they might want to communicate.
  • To be available and approachable if you have any questions or issues within the society itself or support turning your ideas into something tangible.
