'Weekend Arts'

Weekend is a cultural outreach initiative that involves free monthly private tours and workshops for isolated adults in London. We usually number 8-10 people each visit, and all of our group members share experience of homelessness or mental health interventions, but, more importantly, a love of all things culture, art, and design. We facilitate connection by engaging people who feel excluded from creative spaces or prefer to access those spaces as part of a group.

We visit public, private, and commercial galleries and collections; museums; artists' studios; and heritage buildings. Since our founding in 2017, we've been lucky enough to tour venues such as the Design Museum, the Courtauld Gallery, the Brown Collection, Hauser and Wirth, Leighton House, the King's Gallery, Pace Gallery, Ordovas, the Royal Society of Sculptors, Eltham Palace, Cell Project Space, Studio Voltaire, Westminster Abbey, Pitzhanger Manor, Camden Arts Centre, the Cinema Museum, the Mosaic Rooms, and RIBA to name just a few.

We welcome new members, and send out detailed information prior to each visit. If you’d like to join Weekend Arts’ mailing list, then contact sophieandlindsay@gmail.com
