Everyday Object
How much can be explored through a single, ordinary object?
Everyday Object brings together a year-long exploration of the needle through different scales, forms, materials and ideas. What began as a simple curiosity has developed into a collection of works, each approaching the same object differently.
Some works carry stories, some invite interaction, while others are simply experiments in materials and craftsmanship. Not every piece begins with a meaning, and not every experiment needs to lead to one.
Presented together for the first time, these works question whether meaning is something an artwork must carry, or something we discover through making, looking and experiencing it.
The exhibition invites visitors to look again at a familiar object and find their own ways of understanding it.
