Overview

We are absolutely delighted to be back at the TM Lighting Gallery for a third year running to launch The Iridescent Collection, Made in Arts London's 10th Annual Exhibition! The exhibition will showcase over 40 new artists that have been selected by a panel of industry experts, running from 29th October 2021 - 7th January 2022 and available to buy online.

The Exhibition:

Using suggestions from the artists, this year the collection is named 'The Iridescent Collection' :

"The meaning of the word iridescent is showing luminous colours that seem to change as the angle of view or illumination alters. Many of the works in this collection have been created during a global pandemic; it is an understatement to say this has had an effect on the artists and therefore their work, from the way they have produced it through to the concepts it aims to explore.

The Iridescent Collection is an exciting new range of works, featuring over 40 new creatives, who are current students and recent graduates of University of the Arts London. The works in the collection range from print, photography, illustration, fine art, sculpture, ceramics and fashion.

As always the collection was selected by a panel of leading figures in the world of art and design, this time made up of:

Rosemary Cronin - an artist, curator and project manager, with a particular interest in socially engaged practice.

Harry Triggs - Co-founder of TM Lighting, London.

Eleanor Watson - Curator at the Design Museum, London.

Eleanor West - a Queer, Disabled interdisciplinary artist who’s practice explores queer experience via a variety of mediums and Arts Students’ Union's Activities Officer from 2019 - 2021."

Open weekdays from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, by prior appointment, please email info@tmlighting.com to book.

Made in Arts London is a not-for-profit enterprise run by the Arts SU’s Arts Programme team. Originally initiated by UAL alumni, Kate Rintoul, and the then Students' Union Sabbatical Officer, Robyn Minogue, Made in Arts London was launched in 2011, sparking a longstanding opportunity for students by students.

Our main aim is to support emerging creatives to sustain their practice outside and beyond university. We offer UAL students the opportunity to learn how to sell your work online and at a variety of external events. We do this through our online shop and partnerships with a variety of creative organisations such as TM LightingAffordable Art Fair: HampsteadFree Range and Canopy Market, to name a few. Alongside the sale and exhibiting of work, we also provide free workshops, networking activities and one-to-one advice open to all UAL students and recent graduates through our events programme.
