Overview

Everyone Welcome! <3

We are excited to host this talk with the Philosopher Dr Benjamin Sprick who is a professor at the University of the Arts Hamburg! He will explore the interplay of Crisis and Cliché. He will then outline what this means for our political reality:

"The lecture attempts to relate this interplay to the current political situation in which cliché and crisis have become a kind of ›zone of indistinguishability‹. States of exception become the rule, while the succession of crisis-like situations acquires a certain form of predictability. What does this mean for political reality? What artistic practices could adequately intervene here? The lecture attempts to pursue such questions by recourse to Walter Benjamin‘s theses »On the Concept of History« and Gilles Deleuze‘s cinema theory (The Movement-Image, The Time-Image), after the concepts of cliché and crisis have been outlined in an overview."

Once you get your tickets we will email you the Zoom-deatils :)) See you then !
