The Curation Society provides its members with an introduction to London’s rich cultural scene, and a social platform for students all across UAL to connect through various events, art walks, and curating exhibitions. Last year, The Curation Society collaborated with Goldsmiths Visual Cultures Society on an exhibition, 'The Expanded City', which was held at Hoxton Basement. It explored aspects of city and its far-reaching consequences. As a member you gain exclusive access to these events and a wide range of activities, all of which explore modern ways of curating.
The society has a focus on curatorial practices, engaging in critical inquiry and art theory; we believe in opening up conversations about art and culture. Some activities to expect this year are: art walks, exhibitions, studio visits, conservator tours, artists talks, and more. If you are a curious person who is interested in being part of a society you can shape with your engagement and interests, we look forward to seeing you!
