On the occasion of International Women’s Day, She Does Magazine launches as both a celebration and a statement of intent. Created by current students and alumnae of the University of the Arts London, the project brings together women determined to carve out space for themselves in creative and sporting industries that often feel uncertain, competitive, and unequal. In a time, shaped by the rapid rise of AI, economic instability, and increasingly precarious working conditions, She Does was built from a shared desire not to wait for opportunities, but to create them.
Rather than allowing these challenges to silence them, the team chose to respond by building an editorial platform of their own: one rooted in collaboration, visibility, and shared belief. To be seen, heard, and recognised on our own terms. The perspectives featured are shaped by different cultures, backgrounds, and life stages, offering an honest and varied portrayal of what it means to build, compete, and create as women today.
This magazine was created by 85 student volunteers across all UAL campuses and all profits from the sales will go into creating more projects like this.
