‘Divergent’ (2023) is the culmination of a multi-media series of experiments, research; achieved through sculpture and performance. It represents a journey to self acceptance via investigation of neurodivergent defensive mechanisms and trauma responses. It shows acceptance of the way we are wired and early stages of piecing ourselves back together. It stands for authenticity and choosing to love yourself despite societal pressure to be and to look a certain way.
