Overview

Node Center for Curatorial Studies are delivering a short course on Public Speaking for Artists and Curators.

Public speaking can feel daunting, especially when you're trying to sell yourself as a creative. That's why we've teamed up with Node Center to offer three UAL students the chance to build the skills and confidence needed to speak about your work in a safe and supportive environment.

Talking about art takes many forms, from studio visits and exhibition tours to public talks and interviews. Public speaking and exchanging ideas are fundamental to working in the arts. However, talking in front of an audience can often feel intimidating. How do we speak clearly and meaningfully? How can we convey complex art concepts to a broader audience?

This course offers practical tools and approaches to help with confidence, clarity, and imagination. Through improvisational exercises and inspiring examples, you’ll practice new ways of engaging audiences and keeping the conversation going.

This is a five week interactive course with 2 hour online sessions each week.

The course runs once a week from from 11th February - 11th March 2026.
