Overview
Assemblage Collective and the Arts SU are teaming up to invite UAL students and members of Assemblage to join a creative, hands-on workshop exploring archives, paper ephemera and the theme of memory.
In this workshop, you will explore some of the extensive UAL archive and then create your own archive of paper items with personal value to you.
We invite you to bring along any paper ephemera that has value / meaning to you or is associated with memories (this could include - receipts, tickets, maps, photographs, pages of writing in a journal, letters, book dustjackets or book pages, leaflets, postcards, playing cards, paper packaging, etc.)
We will have a scanner / photocopier on hand in case you don’t want to use your original items.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to connect and create with a group of fellow creatives. You will discuss archiving, documenting and collecting before making and designing an ‘envelope book’ home for your very own personal archive.

Creative Wellbeing
This workshop is part of our Creative Wellbeing programme which we are launching academic year 2025 – 26.
We hope that through the simple act of paper folding students will be able to explore approaches to mindfulness, promoting contemplation and reflection.
Students will also be given the chance to explore what creative wellbeing means to them; their life and practice helping us to form and shape the programme.
