We’re excited to invite you to a special exhibition visit to Bitter Spring at Mara Projects, with a guided tour led by the founder, a UAL alum, who has kindly invited us to experience the exhibition and hear more about the gallery’s vision.
The exhibition draws on the idea of pharmakon, something that can be both poison and remedy, and brings together painting, sculpture and installation to explore themes of risk, transformation, diasporic inheritance, memory and the unstable life of materials. Set in a former whisky store in Shoreditch, the space deepens the show’s tension between pleasure and harm.
