Overview

Our Wednesday sessions are focused on technique and endurance, designed to help you build strength and confidence in the pool. Whether you’re looking to refine your strokes, improve your fitness, or challenge yourself with structured sets, these sessions provide a motivating environment to help you progress in your swimming. Led by our committee and tailored for a range of abilities, training is the perfect midweek boost to keep you on track with your goals.

Please note: Our society is open to swimmers of all abilities, but members must be able to swim independently before attending sessions. We are not a teaching environment, and for health and safety reasons, we cannot accommodate non-swimmers. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can unwind, refine your technique, and enjoy the water at your own pace.

Please ensure you get a ticket, as we have limited spaces available. 

For your safety, all participants must be confident in the water and able to swim at least a short distance without assistance. Lifeguards will be present throughout the session, and all Swim Society activities follow university risk assessment and pool safety guidelines. Please ensure you follow staff instructions at all times.
