“Slovo House. Unfinished Novel” — Film Screening

We are delighted to announce a screening of “Slovo House. Unfinished Novel”, directed by Taras Tomenko, taking place on February 20th at the UAL LCC Campus.

“Slovo House. Unfinished Novel” is based on true events in 1920s Kharkiv and explores the cultural heritage of Ukraine and the tragedy of the Executed Renaissance. The film reveals how culture, memory, and resistance endure even under systematic oppression.

No knowledge of Ukrainian is required — the film will be screened with English subtitles.

We hope to share this important piece of Ukrainian cinema and culture with students and help keep the memory of Ukrainian cultural history alive. Additionally, all attendees will have the opportunity to take part in the international initiative “Yellow and Blue Butterflies”, which aims to draw attention to the tragedy of Ukrainian children forcibly taken by Russia, by creating a small letter of hope for the children.

When: February 20th
Time: 18:00
Where: LCC, Lecture Theatre B

We hope to see you there!
