Officer Statement: Queen Elizabeth

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Head of the Commonwealth, and offer our condolences to the whole royal family during this time.

Being the nation’s longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II saw the United Kingdom through a significant era of history and change. Many of us at Arts SU and at the University of the Arts London will most likely spent their entire lives with her as the figurehead of our kingdom. Therefore, we understand that this news may cause upset amongst our students, especially at what can already be a stressful time of the year for them, and we empathise with you during this period of national mourning.

Your 22-23 Sabbatical Officer Team:

Ellie Short, Union Affairs Officer

Armani Sutherland, Communities Officer

Kim Hughes, CCW College Officer

Minna Ellis, CSM College Officer

Sophia Nasif, LCC College Officer

Ti’onne Debnam, LCF College Officer
