Sports and Societies Memberships: Now Free!

Great news: thanks to funding from UAL, sports and societies memberships are free!

BIG NEWS! SPORTS AND SOCIETY MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOW FREE!

Have you always wanted to join a club or society, but held back because of the financial costs? Don’t worry, Arts SU are now offering memberships completely free (excluding selected societies and clubs, which are heavily discounted) and you can join as many student groups as you like. We are one of three Students’ Unions in the country that are offering free membership to students! So go join that sport you’ve always wanted to try, and join that society you’ve been eyeing up. You can also join our Arts Active programme for free, which provides weekly health and wellbeing activities across the course of the year!

Don’t forget that you still need to register for a free membership to the clubs/societies on our website, so the student committees can keep track of who’s committed to their community and include you in group chats/forums/newsletters etc.

The first 2 weeks of club/society sessions will be open for Give It a Go so you can go out and try their sessions in person to get a feel of what you’re signing up for!

Do you like to get competitive and go head-to-head with other clubs? Then our team sports are for you. Not only do we have the traditional sports clubs like football, hockey, basketball and netball, but we also have niche sports such as snow, cheer, climbing and more. If societies are more your thing then we have a range of inclusive and creative ones for you here at Arts SU. Whether that be cultural or faith based, academic, creative, political or anything else, there is a society for you. And if there’s not, why not start your own club or society?

For more information check out our Communities section on our website and follow the Arts SU Instagram and Arts SU Communities Instagram, where we'll be posting reminders and information closer to the date.

We hope you enjoy your time with our student groups!
