Today, we are proud to share Transforming Together: Our Year of Impact 2024/25, a reflection of the growth, creativity, and collective power of our community at Arts Students' Union.
We exist because we believe in the power of students to create transformational change and experiences. Our Impact Report for 24/25 shows that belief in action.
During 24/25, we:
-
We supported 720 students through 885 advice cases.
-
More than 4,800 students engaged in clubs and societies.
-
Over 1,300 Course Reps strengthened academic representation across UAL.
-
We delivered 60 creative professional development events, supporting over 1,000 students.
-
Election turnout reached a record 13.5% — the highest in our history.
-
A single Graduation video reached 7 million views, celebrating our community worldwide.
But the year has been about more than numbers.
Together, we secured a freeze on international placement fees for 2025/26. We expanded access to sustainable period products across colleges. Our research into the cost of study sparked institutional change. We launched new initiatives, including the Crits Hub, and introduced the UK’s first Student Basic Needs Coordinator role to tackle food, housing, and financial insecurity head-on.
We have also been honest about the challenges, from capacity pressures to barriers in democratic engagement. Those challenges sharpen our focus. They push us to build a Union that is sustainable, inclusive, and bold enough to keep evolving.
As you read this report, you will see not just what we delivered, but how we delivered it: through collaboration, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to being student-led.
