Hi! My name is Tionne Debnam,a 2nd year BA Fashion Marketing student. I am very excited to be running for the position of NUS Delegate

Having studied at LCF for two and a half years now, I feel that I have an understanding of the interworking of the college, along with the needs of my peers. This understanding paired with being the founder and co-president of UAL’s Future Marketers’ Society, alongside my various intersections  (being a black, queer, international female student) I know that I am the best candidate for this position. When elected as an NUS Delegate I will be able to represent UAL on a national level, allowing me to vote on policies that directly affect our student body as a whole. I will represent UAL with a liberal voice of empathy, passion, and first-hand experience.

As an NUS Delegate I will focus on and vote for issues pertaining to the following:

Decolonizing Uk university education

Providing BAME students with the necessary support to successfully navigate these colonized universities.

Providing international students with better access to support and an overall uni experience

Implementing student workplace/work experience laws and protections

Lowering tuition for remote students with extenuating circumstances

Tackling the rising mental health crisis with practical and effective solutions
