All-Student Meetings

Arts Students' Union is first and foremost a democratic organisation led by our members. We strive to ensure students are part of key decisions and have a say in how we run our services.

As an independent organisation to the University, we exist to represent your interests, give independent advice, and provide opportunities for you to socialise and develop your creative practice. One of the ways we facilitate student participation and decision-making is through our various student forums, where students get the chance to have their say, give feedback, and co-create new ideas and campaigns.

What Student Meetings do we hold?

Annual Members Meeting

The Annual Members’ Meeting brings together students, Sabbatical Officers, and Arts SU staff each Autumn. Students can find out about Sabbatical Officer activities, ask open questions to the Union’s Trustees, and develop the Union’s policies, campaigns and projects to ensure the work we do is reflective of student voice. As members of Arts SU, all students are invited to attend and put forth their ideas.

Student Forums

Student Forums bring together students and officers to develop the Union's policies, campaigns, and projects to ensure the work we do is reflective of the student voice. All UAL students are members of Arts SU and can attend our forums which happen at least once per term.

Students can discuss policy and campaign ideas submitted via the Ideas Platform, find out what the Union is working on, and ask us any questions. The meetings are chaired by Arts SU Sabbatical Officers.

Outside of these meetings, remember there are lots of other ways you can raise your feedback and have your say throughout the year which you can see on our Get Involved page.

Why are these meetings important?

This is your opportunity to direct and question how the Students' Union (SU) represents you at the University of Arts London.

As an independent organisation to the University, we exist to represent your interests, give independent advice, and provide opportunities for you to socialise and develop your creative practice.

Any questions you have for your student representatives, you will be able to ask at the meeting during the Officer Q&A.
