Made in Arts London

Made in Arts London is an online shop that supports UAL students who want to sell their work to the public, through practice and theory.

What is Made in Arts London?

Our online shop, Made in Arts London is a not-for-profit enterprise run by Arts SU’s Arts Programme team. Initially launched in 2011 by UAL alumni Kate Rintoul, and the then Students' Union Sabbatical Officer, Robyn Minogue, Made in Arts London has been a longstanding opportunity for students created by students.

Our main aim is to support emerging creatives to sustain their practice outside and beyond university. We offer UAL students the opportunity to learn how to sell your work online and at a variety of external events.

We do this through our online shop, featuring a rotating annual collection of work, curated by a changing panel of industry professionals and partnerships with a variety of creative organisations such as TM Lighting, Affordable Art Fair: Hampstead, Free Range and Canopy Market, to name a few.

Alongside the sale and exhibiting of work, we also provide free workshops, networking activities and one-to-one advice open to all UAL students and recent graduates through our events programme.

"My experience has been brilliant with Made in Arts London. I sold a painting for the first time which felt euphoric and had several exhibitions during my time at Central Saint Martins. Putting on my own exhibition taught me about the time, money, effort, responsibility and organisation that goes into it and made me even more grateful for Made in Arts London's handling of everything, as well as the beautiful spaces we got to exhibit in.

One of these shows led to me selling another one of my paintings a few months ago and this was after I left university when opportunities to exhibit and sell your work are more scarce. I have enjoyed working with the team and have had so many wonderful experiences with them, and it most importantly gave me an invaluable insight into the workings of the art market and exhibiting even before I graduated."
