As part of our Art of Joy event programme for Black History Month, we have organised a Waist Bead Workshop hosted by Alama, the founder of Baya Adornments. Create your own waist bead to take home, whilst learning about this ancient practice.
Ticket Information:
Please note that this is workshop is included in the Arts SU event programme for Black History Month and is intended to be for UAL students who identify as Black. If you are someone who does not identify as Black, please be considerate before booking a ticket as spaces are limited. Please only book if you can attend and arrive on time. Entry will not be permitted after 11.45am as you will need the full session to complete the waist bead. Please note this venue has no step free aceess and there is one flight of stairs up and down.
