The timing of the month ends with the anniversary of Partition. This refers to when the
Indian Independence Act received royal assent from King George VI on 18 July 1947, and the Radcliffe Line, which divides India, West Pakistan, and East Pakistan, was published on 17 August, by Cyril Radcliffe.
South Asia consists of 8 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We're looking to share the stories of South Asian students, whether that's in the form of poetry, memories, recipes, short stories, or anything else that comes to mind. Why not get involved today?
