Our Service
Our advisors are here to provide independent, impartial and free advice to UAL students on university academic processes and accommodation (UAL and private rental).
Our service is confidential, which means your discussions with us will not be shared with UAL without your permission.
We offer advice by email, telephone, Microsoft Teams and in-person on some UAL sites. You can contact us to request support using our contact form, or by booking an appointment with an advisor. Links to both of these services are located at the bottom of every Advice Service webpage.
By accessing our service you agree to our Terms of Service and the related policies within this. It is very important that you understand the ‘What we need from you’ section of this document. If you breach any of these expectations we may have to limit or withdraw the service from you.

Support Beyond the Arts SU Advice Service
We do not advise on the following issues but will always support you to find the right service that can. The below topics are each linked to the most appropriate UAL service to support your query. Your Confidentiality
Our service is confidential and takes your privacy very seriously. This means we won’t disclose any information relating to you or your case to anyone outside of the service without your explicit and informed consent to do so. This includes confirming if you are using our service or not.
There may be times when we ask for your permission to speak with UAL colleagues about your case. In these instances we will always seek your permission and explain the reasons behind our request.
There are rare occasions where an adviser may breach confidentiality without your express consent. Such decisions are made with careful consideration and in-line with Arts SUs Safeguarding and Data Protection policies.
The Advice Service understands confidentiality to mean that no information regarding a client shall be give directly or indirectly released to a third party without the client’s expressed consent except in the following cases:

Where the Advice Service identifies a potential conflict of interest which requires informing one party that we can no longer act on their behalf, this may draw attention to the fact that we are already acting on behalf of another party. In these circumstances the compromised party will be informed of the breach, and no further action will be disclosed.

Hey! I'm Chloe, the Advice Manager here at ArtsSU. I oversee the Advice team to ensure we are giving all UAL students the best and most accessible advice and guidance, as promoting balanced and supportive student life is super important to me. Outside of work, I love to make music, read books, and eat delicious foods from all over the world.
Shriya Ruparelia
Hey, I'm Shriya and I'm a Student Adviser at the SU! I provide students with advice around different UAL processes like appeals, EC's and complaints. I also advise on issues around housing end ensure that students feel heard and supported. In my spare time I love cooking, baking, listening to live music and reading (mainly fiction and poetry!)

Hello! I'm Laura, one of the Student Advisers at the SU. I can support you with academic processes, housing questions and help you find the right place to ask your question. My life motto is 'be kind and have fun', whether at work or in my personal life. In my down time, I like to grow vegetables at my allotment and will never say no to playing a board game.

Hi, I’m Michael and I’ve recently joined the Advice team here at Arts SU. I’m really excited to support students and help them navigate their university experience in a positive and empowering way. I’m passionate about student wellbeing, clear communication, and making sure everyone feels heard and supported at university. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active and watching/playing football, and catching up on my favourite movies and TV shows.
